EMAIL MARKETING FOR RESTRICTED VERTICALS: DELIVERABILITY DEEP DIVE

Email deliverability for restricted verticals is not a mystery — it is a technical discipline with known solutions. The brands that land in spam are making identifiable, fixable mistakes. The ones that consistently hit inbox have the right technical foundation, the right content approach, and the right list hygiene practices.

THE TECHNICAL FOUNDATION

Dedicated sending infrastructure is non-negotiable for restricted verticals. Shared IP pools contain other senders — if one sender damages the IP reputation, every sender suffers. Dedicated IPs give you control over your own reputation.

Domain authentication — SPF, DKIM, and DMARC — must be properly configured. Gmail and Outlook now reject significant portions of unauthenticated email. DMARC in reject or quarantine mode is the baseline.

Domain warming is required for new sending domains. Starting and immediately sending to 50,000 addresses will destroy your reputation before you have one. Warming starts at 500-1,000/day and increases gradually over 4-6 weeks.

our team Deliverability Monitoring

our messaging platform runs inbox placement tests before every major send using seed addresses at Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, and vertical-specific domains. If placement drops below 90%, we hold the send and diagnose before it goes out.

LIST HYGIENE

Our standard: suppress non-openers at 90 days with a re-engagement sequence first, hard-bounce addresses immediately, and run validation on all imported lists before the first send. For restricted verticals we segment by engagement tier — highest-engagement subscribers get the most sensitive content, cold subscribers get nurture-only.
